Does anyone else have this where your SHO will roll back on an incline unless you either keep your foot on the brake or put a little gas to it?

On small inclines (literally next to nothing of an incline) I have to add a bit of gas to get the car going. On a larger incline I will actually roll backwards unless I hold the brake or apply a little gas pedal to it to hold its position.

All other automatic transmission vehicles I've owned and driven I've never had any that would roll back on you. They would hold their ground on their own on a large incline.

Thanks,
Blaine

Never paid any attention to it, but I think it is a function of the torque converter, and I believe (although not really sure) it is because the newer transmissions allow less load in the engine at idle to improve fuel mileage.

My SHO will not roll down an incline in drive no matter how steep. It actually holds the brakes, so I can sit at a red light on an incline with no foot on the brake at all.

Yeap, I have noticed my car does the same thing, but never posted it. Thanks for bringing this up.

The reason I brought it up is that I thought it might somehow be related to TSB 10-22-4 with a possible bad PTU???

no roll back here. Even put and neutral and let roll back a few feet and then put in drive, and once in drive it stopped rolling.

I sometimes even get a no movement on a flat surface, usually only like that in reverse though I think.
