Hello everyone, I’m seeking suggestions for mechanics experienced with Gen 2 SHO’s in or around New Hampshire or Massachusetts to
1.– change out rod bearings
2.– install sub frame connectors

I sent NESHO an email and didn’t get a response so I assume they aren’t interested in the job.

Thanks.

I think Area 51 is in Pennsylvania, take a look at the SHO clubs listed at the bottom of the home page on this forum and see who is close.
The rod bearing change is straight forward and you won't have trouble finding people who have done that. Like everything else, it is the work you have to do to get to the work you want to do that is the issue (Y-pipe, sub-frame bolts and bushings).
The frame connectors are a different matter, do you have pre-made units or are you going to fab them up as you go? It is one of those things that can run/cost the entire spectrum, depending on what you have in mind.

Also If you don't have one yet, this would be the time to put on an equal length y-pipe since the old one has to come off. Best low cost power adder

Frame connectors...I have Keystone Powder Coating pre-made units. Y-pipe will be replaced with a Doug Lewis FPS part.

Always much better to call NESHO and leave a voicemail. I know one of the members here actually works there on the 89-95's only.

As to subframe connectors, only once has the torsional rigidity been tested before and after, and the change wasn't very great.
