Hey guys, don't usually post in here but my room mate and myself are taking a road trip in your direction and just wanted to see what anybody recommends we "see" or visit while we are out there.

Our itinerary goes as planned;

-Eau Claire, WI to Flagstaff, AZ to see family for a day
-Next day Flagstaff to Vegas for a couple days
-Vegas to LA area to see more family for a day or two
-LA up to SF to see where my roommate was originally from (he moved to WI very young).

Going to see Alcatraz while we are in SF but not really sure what to hit up while we are in LA/Hemet area. I know there are all the beaches, but what are "safe" and fun nightlife areas while we are there. Don't want to find ourselves in the wrong neighborhoods and wheels missing when we get to our car.

If you want to see about meeting up you can reach me at 949-330-9444.

Huntington Beach is Nice to go to along with Balboa Beach and Balboa Island.

In LA you can go to Pinks HotDogs. Theres a line any time.

Theres the Peterson Car Museum: Link

Theres always Disneyland, Knotts and Magic Mountain.

LA does tend to have quite a few bad areas, you know it when you are there.

I think we will be staying near Manhattan beach while we are there. I've always heard good things about Barney's Beanery, maybe hit that up.

I don't have any other places to recommend since most have been mentioned. However if you want to drive a challenging road on your way up to the San Francisco/Bay Area, I highly recommend driving on CA58 from I-5 at Buttonwillow to Pacific Coast Hwy at San Luis Obisbo. Then continue on PCH through Carmel and Santa Cruz. The road and scenery is amongst the best. If you have time, you can stop by and see the Hearst Castle.

If you are a car nut, I highly recomend going to the Peterson Museum.
