Welp, I finally managed to replace my busted KEM with a RKEM from a 93 and Gil Shoemakers wiring diagram. The only problem -- I pulled the RKEM module from a junkyard, wrote down the code that was on the inside of the trunk, and then proceeded to lose the piece of paper with the code.

I've heard that its easier to grab a new RKEM module than to try and figure out the old code, but the local u-pull-it charges $30 for anything that looks like a "computer brain box". Anyone have some updated knowledge on these things?

ShoTimes has an article on how to read it and customize it so its "yours"

that only pertains to the 89-92 2-pcb kem. the remote keyless box is 3 pcb and completely different layout.

6 months since I pulled it or so...

good news is that I did find the piece of paper in my other toolbox, the one I used before I had a dedicated pull-a-part kit :)
