Rim question.

I have wanted to chrome my slicers for awhile now. I have read that our center caps can't be chromed durably. I was driving along and I seen a Gen II SE Taurus. I also noticed that their center caps are some kind of polished metal. Would it be possible to swap these center caps with the SHO centers? I think it may solve that problem....maybe not. Any input?

I saw some chromed slicers on ebay awhile back. I dont know if they are still on but They looked really neat
