Can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong. I've installed two different e brake cables from two different manufacturers. The last I installed was a raybestos, and it was even worse than the tru torque one I got from advance auto. Caliper is also rebuilt cardone I believe, and hoses are new.
Here's the problem. Cable is routed properly and I checked for free movement before I attached both ends. After I install the cable and actuate the e brake then readjust and actuate it sticks. The front cable is also new. I know for sure it's the cable because I disconnected both ends and tried to push the cable and it's 10 times harder than before.
My only guess is that i'm pressing too damn ******* the e brake and it's causing the plastic coating on the cable to somehow get chewed up a little. I inspected the cable I installed the other day and I noticed it. It was slight but noticable. I love when something so simple has to be a complete pain in the ass. I brought one back for a defect exchange and i'm going to wait to install it to see some replys. The cable isn't getting kinked either. The other two cables are raybestos if it makes a difference, but they're probably made in china also.
