yeah i picked my mom up from the airport on the 24th, noticing some ATF in the driveway when i got home, so i think i blew it then, but i didnt think much since i had just flushed the Power Steering the other day... then driving it the next day it almost made it out of my subdivision and shifted to third and heard a horrible grinding (NO FLUID IN TRANNY) thought it was the clutch that went... parked it and found the pin today... i havent driven it hard barely once yet... with driving and not having the feel of my new car yet and needing a new clutch i babied it... i guess i cant say the same thing for the guy who owned it before me...

Not necessarily; the diff pin can break just under normal driving conditions and not having been abused. They are just that weak. Sucks either way. Check around the boneyards, if you find an MTX you can probably get it fairly cheap. Adam might still have one also

Damn that sucks. New tranny and clutch. When do you plan on buying the new parts, because I could probably help you out if you need it.

yeah thanks! im really getting alot of support with this through people i know and stuff i kinda have a plan though... my uncle owns an auto shop in lannon idk if anyone knows it, but its called M&D auto. he really wants to look at it and see what really is happening with this car... he actually has a few friends/business partners that specialize in tranny work and sends most of his work thier way... so anyway he is asking around i dont know for what but he says "he'll take care of me" im not sure what it means and when itll get done, but ill see what happens

so anyway to answer your question... i plan on waiting a week and figureing out what im going to do... my mom and dad suggested selling it, but thats out of the question... i will fix this car... i have some skills when it comes to cars and my dad is a very good DIYer, and i also appreciate your willingness to help and i know you have some experience with taking these babies out so ill have to keep in contact with you... im not really sure how to approach this however... if worse comes to worse i can call a bunch of buddies over and just throw a new tranny/clutch in and be done i just want to find the most reliable-cost effective way to do this... ill let you know what happens, and again thanks for the offer to help its really great to know how supportive this forum is... :thumb:

Nobody seems to be having luck with SHOs lately, including Adam as of today. What's the deal?

Yeah I haven't had much luck with my SHO, but that wasn't caused by me. Some **** ran into me doing thirty when I was stopped, so my SHO was totaled, but I still have it and will be parting it out or selling as a whole to the highest bidder. So if you need any parts just let me know. I'm in Appleton, WI. oh and the car is a '94 ATX Blue. Good luck with fixing up your SHO Dan.

While there are numerous opportunities to make an own3d reference in this thread, doing so would do nothing but throw gas on the fire, and for that I will refrain from doing so. Even if it would be hella funny. :snicker: Who says I can't be mature?

Dan, while shi**y, your luck could be a **** of a lot worse. Luckily, tranny's aren't especially expensive, and can be replaced in your driveway in a weekend, give or take. So keep your chin up man, you and the new car will be ok. :thumb:

Wht91+.... yeah, good luck with that, bro. :corn:

SHOBabe, keep the car. I'm sure you'll miss it more in the long run. :)
