As the subject states, money is tight, the Grey SHO needs a new clutch, it felt good, i was curious whether or not SHO gurus feel it is wrong to reuse it. With the clutch change on the red sho, i changed all the common wear parts....including that stupid felt washer..... should i just swap all of it? Or should i change those wear items again.....Money is tight as i will be doing a full 60k as well...

And also, the flywheel seems to have "hot spots", i am not sure if that is normal with sho clutch configurations or not but i want to make sure before i do it all over again.

you could get away with re-using the PP and disc. But PLEASE resurface the flywheel and at least get the updated TOB, if not the ceramic SHOnut TOB.

Reuse it, but make sure to resurface the flywheel. The burn marks, or whatever they're called, on the flywheel can be due to riding the clutch too much. If it's minor, and you're tight on money, you can use a 800 grit, or close, sand paper on the flywheel to at least remove the marks and smooth them out. Same as for the PP. It doesn't take much, I've seen it done. Although, I do recall sdpatt mentioning that NAPA charges $25 to have the flywheel resurfaced.

******** reinforced differential w/fresh tranny rebuild <------?

I bearly caught this, deleting emails, so I guess I should reply!

It's oviously what it says, "REINFORCED DIFFERENTIAL!" That explains why I can now burn my tires all through 1st gear, if I want to, whenever I want, for as long as I want to, and not have another tranny crap on me. Have 3+ trans crap on you and you'll fix that problem! I like draggin' and hot tires make for better traction, so in order for that you need to smoke them up without worries. :burn_out: :burn_out: :burn_out:

The trans is still going........this is the longest I've had my car in service!

I don't have a write up, as it's just reinforced.

Sometime this month or so, when I decide to install the clutch, I will take some pics of the differential and figure out how to post them.
