I'm starting to wonder if this has anything to do with my stalling issue/running rich. It's gotten much better but still when I drive it hard and stop it's getting too much fuel.

When I bought it the guy pointed it out and said there was a TSB on that. I looked, can find none so unless someone tells me to leave it i'm taking them out and splicing the wires back together.

Sounds like a variation of one of the 50 cent mods, tricking the PCM to dump more fuel so that the engine runs richer.

Remove it unless you can find a compelling reason to keep it.

Also reset the computer by disconnecting the battery.

The only tsb regarding the maf I'm aware of is 98-23-10 dated 11/23/98. I didn't read it in depth but I didn't see anything like what you are referring to as a solution. It was along the lines of dirty maf elements skewing the adaptive fuel tables etc... I thought the resistor thing was attached to the ACT sensor. I could be wrong since I haven't actually seen one installed.

Jason,
I'll email you the tsb so you can read through it.

Thanks luigi - it didn't really have anything to do with what looks like was put on. I'm almost wondering if the guy did it thinking it was running to lean and did more to **** it up by doing that.

50 cent mod.....definetely thinkin so...time to come off. damn radio shaft!
