Code can be located in several places. On the inside of the trunk lid is one, in the owners manual would be the other one.

The RKE code is printed on the box (back of rear seat, behind the cardboard shield). They also have been found on labels in the glovebox and along one of the edges of the trunk lid or opening.

There's a writeup on the old www.shotimes.com FAQ on how identify and, if desired, change the default code.

word just look in the trunk, its either a sticker on the bottom of the trunk lid

it will have this many digits... **** I dunno really if they are all the same but I think so

like 37359

also if your standing at the back of your car looking forward, there is a box on the left of the back of the seat... it will have your number put on it as well

let me look around I have a pic of what the module looks like

So there dosen't seem to be a sticker on the trunk lid or a box on the left side of the rear seat and in the manual it just says to enter the code the dealer gives you. Do you think if the dealer might still have the code?

Zero chance of that.

I've never seed an RKE box without the sticker. Look again.

If necessary, pull the module, open it, and decipher the code based on the FAQ article I previously told you about.

So I pulled the mat that was loose on the driver side and followed the wires and low and behold there was the black box with the sticker some days I worry myself and the sad part about it is that I'm a diesel mech. Thank you all again.
