I picked up this tool "36200 Valve Keeper Remover & Installer from Lisle" http://www.lislecorp.com/tool_detail.cfm?detail=533 for like $38 ish. It makes removal and instal of valve keepers on the tops of the valve springs a 1 min job per valve. 30 seconds off, and bout 30sec to 1 min to put them back on.
It's worth every penny in time savings

One should have a OTC Valve stem seal replacer or the like to install new seals. A pair of neat valve stem seal removal pliers help make thing much faster though needle nose work fine.

I might be doing some upper work, do you want to rent the tool to me?? I could send you a deposit, of course.

I just don't want to buy the tool hoping I'll only use it maybe 3-4 times the next, oh, 50 yrs.... :evil_gri:

let me get the 2 motors that I have to work on finished, and then I'll loan it to ya no problem.

I still need to get a pair of valve seal remofing pliers, or a pair of curved needle nose pliers for valve seal removal.
