Have you contacted the alignment shop about this yet? That was a pretty big **** up on their part, and they should be responsible for the repair costs. If they resist, I'd remind them that they're lucky it's just a repair bill, and not a wrongful death lawsuit. This could have ended much worse had you been on the highway when the stud(s) failed.
I would contact the shop about it. If they are stand up folks they will help make it right.
I never take my SHO (or any of my cars) to places I don't know.
And yes, they are easy to replace.
I contacted the shop and talked to the owner. He assumed no responsibility and said that he did not take the wheels off during the alignment and therefore isn't responsible.
I say that I asked for an alignment AND a wheel balance/rotation. He said they didn't do the rotation and when I picked the car up I was annoyed at that. ALSO, the gave me NO receipt or computer printout for the alignment. They did charge my the $65 for the alignment though.
The guy didn't get my car on the alignment rack until 8PM despite me visiting the shop/calling ahead of time and dropping the car off at 8 in the morning. I didn't pick up the car until 9:30 PM and was a little taken aback that not only did I not get a printout of the alignment but that he didn't had me a receipt but given as it was 9:30 I assumed he was just as tired as me (I worked all day that day, worked hard) so I figured I'd stop by later in the week and pick both up.
Like I said, I called the shop as soon as I discovered the damage, he wasn't going to cover it AT all.
Legally, I have no proof that he even worked on my car, all I have is a witness (person who dropped me off tho pick up SHO) but he is friends with the owner and also my boss so I am basically SOL.
LUCKILY, the damage is only to one stud, the alignment feels good, and I can use the wheel on the rear as the rear hubs seems slightly smaller. :rainshit:
I will keep pushing on, if anyone has one of these "rings" for the OZ Monte Carlo rims that they could spare I will gladly take it.

PS: Will upload pics soon, friend has ring but I will take picture of it because we love carnage in all shapes and sizes here on SHOforum!
Hmm... My team dynamics came with centric rings, i took them out.
I gave the remains of the hub centric ring to my friend who works at a hydraulic/machining shop.
For now, I put the rear left side (directional tires) in the front with the 4 remaining lugs and a spare on the back. I have school and then work all day tomorrow but Saturday I am going to replace the broken lug and bolt the rim w/o hub-centric ring on the rear with the smaller hubs (my original plan).
I guess I'm lucky that the wheel didn't fly off the car at highway speeds.
Lucky that the repair is less than $10 and the hub-centric ring can be replaced.
