I've got the car jacked up in my garage right now and Im ready to swap the front and rear ATX motor mounts, however Im not sure where to start

I just need some guidance on where to start with these things. Can someone post anything they remember from when they changed theirs?

Procedure, tips, what needed to be removed?

THANKS!!

BTW or if someone can give me their AIM name and chat w/ me over AIM that would be sweet

Here ya go, guitar:

http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiB..._us/0900823d/80/0b/f3/a4/0900823d800bf3a4.jsp

Scroll down about half-way to the section titled "3.0L and 3.2L SHO Engines".

Disregard the parts about the roll damper, as this only applies to the 3.0L MTX SHOs.

Removal and installation is pretty easy if you follow the above instructions - just make sure that you have a block of wood long enough to evenly distribute and support the load of the engine across the jack. Make sure you unbolt the nuts on the bottom of the mounts (where they attach to the subframe on the bottom) before jacking up the engine and then raise the engine slowly.

Installation is reverse of removal. ;)

Let us know if you have any more questions. :thumb:

Okay I just came in from trying to replace my front mount. I bought a "reinforced" one from a member on this board (anonymous until he answers my email) and it will not fit. I am ******, my car is on jack stands I need to travel 100 miles back home tomorrow for school on monday, my old front mount is leaking and torn. ahhh, just venting

thanks for the tips, i got the old one out, but the one he sold me will not fit I think he sold me a reinforced rear?!?!?

What should I do?

I need to drive 100 miles today, shouldt I try to make the rear mount work in the front (drill out top holes, it will lift engine about 1/2" more than normal) or put my torn leaking old front one back on?
