Aside from being something of a PITA to get to, it's not too difficult to replace. Removing the Y-pipe would've made the job a bit easier, but not enough, I don't think, to justify the extra time and work necessary to pull it off. And I'm fairly certain it was where the oil was leaking because I didn't see any evidence of oil leaking above it.
I have a question, though. I got it screwed into the block easily enough, but I can't figure out how to screw the connector back on to it. The ends of the sender itself are threaded in opposite directions, i.e., when I put the sender in the block, the connector unscrewed itself. How do I get it connected? This is the only thing preventing me from taking the car off the jackstands.
