A few months back I cleaned/polished my headlights then installed a relay harness from suvlights. Much brighter.

Last night I was in Tucson when the headlights turned on and ****, the passenger's side light went out. Grumble.

So, got a pair of Sylvania xtravisions and went about installing them. That's when I found this:

October '88 date code. Not sure if the car actually came off the line with this one, but the date is correct as this '89 was a mid-November '88 car.

The driver's light had a '91 date code, so it was definitely replaced at one point.

I can tell you that a fresh set of bulbs has brightened my 'candlelight vigil' significantly!

Thats truly impressive! 20ish years for a head light to last?? I bet those fresh bulbs are like a gift from heaven compared to those pieces of ancient history!

A couple months after replacing my headlights & installing a new harness they both started blowing out! I stopped using the auto-lamps feature and had to replace the multi-function switch to solve.

I replaced the bulbs in my 95 a couple of months ago. Both were original to the car and still working.

I put new headlight assemblies on my '90 a few months ago and both bulbs has '90 date codes stamped on them.
