I have some sony speakers, 2 6x9s, and 2 6s, I figured putting the 6x9s in the back and the 6s in the front would at least sound better...or maybe not, let me know whats a good plan, thanks.

The 6x9s should fit but will most likely need to be bottom-mounted. This just means some minor modifications at most. The 6" (or 6.5") should bolt right in. Just pick up some extra black pins for the door fittings. You're bound to break at least one. Also, wiring harnesses for your speakers are available at Circuit City/Best Buy, so no cutting will be necessary. Try 'em out.

Thread Hi-jack. If there is enough room you can mount them from the top. I punched holes into the factory metal and mounted the speaker on the ring that held the metal for the speaker cover. It worked out good. Those are 6x9's in 5x7 (6x8???) openings.

RearDeck

Not sure if there is enough room under the carpet like a Gen III. I kind of lurk in Gen II audio threads b/c of the lack of audio expandability like the Gen I/II.

Good luck :thumb:

This is true. If you can drill some holes, then you may be able to top-mount them. Not sure if your grilles will be usable though, so pay attention to the mounting depth. Also, if you're stuck on how to remove the grilles, a butter knife will suffice to pry them up.
