I am going to be repainting my 90 this December and I wasn't sure about the best way to do it. I already have most of the interior out, plus the two front doors, the rear window, the engine\trans, and the hood for reasons not immediately pertaining to the paint job. Anyway, I wanted to get some advice about the best way to go about it. I will be completely sanding the outside of the car, then repainting with House of Kolors Jetset Black. Would it be better to paint the doors and hood etc. separate from the car or should I put everything back on first and shoot it all at once? Also, will the heat from the engine ruin the paint if I use it on the intake, or is there a better paint to use?

On a slightly different subject, I have the chrome strips off of a regular taurus that go around the windows. (Like a sho +) Would these look good on a black car with tinted windows or would they look better on a white car? Just having a hard time with the visuals. (and I can't really find a visual aid) Thanks a bunch!

Your right MobileSho, I will only be taking it down to the metal where bodywork needs done. I should have read that a little closer.

Gene Winfeild is a great guy and makes some great products.

Da it all then use an etching primer. Nex question is who is hanging the parts Doors ECT? What we do is jam all the parts before installing them so thatthey have the proper base coat on them. The body shop will do the rest.

qiksho, nice looking car. I think I will go ahead and put the chrome trim on. Thanks!
Shodwn, I will be reinstalling all of the body parts myself. I will also be doing the paint job by myself and I hope it turns out all right. Would you recommend basecoating and clearcoating in pieces then, or just basecoating it and then clearcoating it when it's all back together? Thanks for the input, time is closing in on me in a hurry so everything helps.
