On a 90, I know when you pull the logos off the trunk lid, it leaves holes where the pins mount into the metal... What about a 92? I noticed some of you guys don't have holes. Is that just body filler, and paint or what?

I don't know if the Taurus emblem has alignment holes for the badge, but for sure the Ford logo does - on BOTH the GenI and GenII. It's a quality control thing. This is how they know that all of the logo's will be put on in exactly the same place and straight. Apparently even though they pay the guy that puts them on $40 an hour he still can't do it right. :) You're gonna have to fill them and repaint that area. On my car the alignment holes and the key hole has been filled. Looks really clean, but I don't have a picture of it.

On my 94 ATX

I pulled off the Taurus logo and replaced it with a 96 SHO logo. I had to cut the alignment pegs off the 96 SHO letters.

No holes just a big fat sticky.

Same goes for the FORD Oval. On the back that is.

Cool! I was just going to post about de-badging my car. That large blue football stuck to my trunk tells all it's a Ford, which is OK with me, but it sticks out like,
well, a large blue football!

I also have a body-color Tortise badge that I might rip off. What about the DOHC badges on the side? Any holes? I just want the car to have a cleaner, more modern and sleek appearance and I think de-badging it would really help.

"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!" :D

Yes, there are locating holes on the back of the Ford and Taurus emblems...

I know because I still have my emblems with me...

The holes have to be filled, sanded and painted if you want it to look like this.

I'm trying my hardest wink Hopefully, soon, I will be in AZ for good and have more time to put aside on the SHO, as well as other things. Once it is done and tuned(Headers and all), I will definitely give you a ride!
