removing the Exhaust manifold heat shields

Front is ok.. many have done it, I wouldn't on the rear tho, can't even see it, plus its really close to your p/s lines. Too close for me.

It's a stupid thing to do.

The shields create a boundary layer of air to help wick heat from the manifold.

Removing the shield eliminates that effect and results in higher cylinder head temperatures.

I'm assuming when you get them say Jet-Hot coated tho that helps to wick too? I would hate to coat em, then cover them up.
