I live in So. Cal where the weather reaches 110+ during the summer and was wondering if wrapping the Cats with this product (link at the bottom) will help keep temps down on the PTU. I do have a 15’ PP but just want to help mitigate the heat and keep heat where it belong. Any insight and suggestions would be great.
Also I use a company vehicle for work so my SHO is a weekend car not a daily.

My personal opinion, on a car with a PTU cooler, the worry about heat from the catalytic converter is overblown. Yes, change the fluid at 30,000 miles. Use a good quality synthetic fluid. If you have FORScan you can monitor the PTU temperature. Attached is a FORScan screenshot from my car in late June, in Texas, driving for hours at 70-80 mph in 100+ ambient temperature.

TFT = Transmission, TCFT = PTU

Oh wow its only 10 degrees higher. Ok, what ODB reader do you use? I'm kinda of a data nerd and would like to use something like this.
