Removing stock stereo,

the stock stereo and cd player died.
I can't figure out how to take them out.
It looks like you need some sort of special tool...

Yes,you need a special Ford Stereo Removal Tool(i`m not kidding).I got mine from Pep Boys for around $5.00

Yea its called a coat hanger. Just bend it like a U should work.

The coat hanger works...ok....

The actual tool makes it MUCH easier when you aren't really sure what you are doing. If you order a new head unit from Crutchfield (www.crutchfield.com) they will give you the removal tool free of charge..

I have both head units for sale.. I had replaced them at 17,000km and they have been in a box in the basement..perfect function and condition..
