I'm not far into my clutch job and already running into trouble.I removed the driversside half shaft easy.I went to remove the right side and it will not slide out.I'm afraid of tearing a boot or worse. It looks like when I go to remove the tranny I can just slide to the left and the right side half shaft will slide right out.
Will this work?
If not do you guys have any tips for me?
I also messed up and forgot to remove the top two bolts on the tranny before lifting the car.How bad will this bite me?
Taking the tranny out does'nt look too bad once I get past the shafts, but the clutch install may make up for it.

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

The right side halfshaft should slide right out. THere is a bracket and bearing that holds it to the engine, but after that it should pop right out. THere is no clip on the end of this one like the drivers side.

The top tranny bolts shouldn't be a problem, I have gotten them out leaning over the fender with the car 24inches in the air.

You should already have your engine support in place however. THis is much easier when the car is on the ground.

Hardest part of removing the tranny was the weight. Needed an extra hand to remove and install the trany. (A tranny jack might have helped :slap: )

GOod luck...and remember, especially with the exhaust studs, nuts to use lots of wd40 and heat...if you break one off...it will cost u lots of time :headbang:

Yeah I seen the bearing that holds the shaft in.So I can get that now :thumb:

My exhaust studs are in ok shape belive it or not.I would'nt have had a clue all this stuff would have to come out before the tranny.

I have my brace in place already.I might have got off cheaper and less complex as Scotts idea.
I used the logs that you use to edge your bushes and such(don't know what their called)

Thanks for the advice :)
