I'm parting out an engine and the heads are still good. I have everything apart and it seems the heads are bolted on via hex head bolts. How do I remove these? They are on there so damn tight.

Get a bigger wrench, turn into the hulk, do something! They are definately some big hex heads. I don't have the size in my current arsenal.todras:

You can get custom copper gaskets made extra thick to lower compression.haydenm315:
I think I'm gonna swap heads from my old motor to my new motor. With the heads out, I'll be able to experiment with head porting on the heads with the shoshop cams. I prefer to leave the shoshop cams on that head instead of moving the cams over. Anybody know if bizzy is using her shoshop cams? I wonder what is needed when installing/removing the heads? I'm guessing a head gasket. Are there different head gaskets available to change compression and strength? Off to the helms I go.
