hang engine support
put shifter in neutral
remove 13mm nut holding shift cable to lever, disconnect cable from bracket and put out of the way
disconnect mlp sensor, tss sensor, valve body electronics connector, speedo cable
release C101 connector from bracket attached to tranny
remove upper bellhousing bolts (you'll have to remove the nuts holding the p/s cooler lines first and hold the lines out of the way)
remove front wheels
disconnect tie rod ends, endlinks, ball joints, remove axles from knuckles (i leave them in the tranny until it's on the ground).
remove motor mount nuts and tranny mount bolts
remove steering rack nuts (15/16"), support both ends of steering rack with bungees to coil springs on both sides
remove y-pipe
remove 2 lower bolts from oil pan to bellhousing
remove subframe
remove starter
remove 4 nuts holding the tq. converter to the flexplate (you'll need to rotate the motor at the crank pulley using a 19mm ratchet)
remove 2 13mm nuts holding rear motor mount bracket to tranny snout
removing remaining bellhousing bolts from the block to bellhousing
disconnect tranny cooler lines
disconnect VSS
remove tranny

reverse

I think that should cover about everything, that's off the top of my head and I'm in a bit of a rush but that should get you well on your way.

good luck!!

Me being on my third ATX removal without a lift, I always thought it was easier to drop the engine/tranny/subframe together and swap out the trans on the ground, just because I don't like jacking up the ATX and getting everything lined-up from underneath.

Really with all the extra stuff you need to do to drop the subframe it probably takes longer, than the other way. its just more manageable for me since i don't have an extra set of hands most of the time.
