Removing A/c Pulley

Im trying to remove the a/c pulley to bypass it with a smaller belt.

i got the gates k060405.

how am i supposed to remove the pulley? I heard there is a snap ring but can't find where it is?

I pulled out the compressor and then took it off. I believe there was a bolt and then a snap ring kinda in the pulley (it was a while ago that I did it). I couldn't get my snap ring off, so I ended up gettin out the cutting wheel ect. You can gut the compressor and save a few pounds as well, just make sure you put the case back in. It provides some structural support.

i just had to replace mine. there is a bolt and then a snap ring that runs right up agaist the outer part of the hole it is kind of had to get outbut would be easier if you have snap ring pliers that make a 90 degree bend
