I'm still trying to track down my no starting/electrical issues.
Whenever working on my '67 Stang and need to start the car w/o running back inside the car each time I use a remote start switch hooked to the starter relay/solonoid. Can I do this w/the SHO? I know the clutch has to be depressed when trying to crank so I'm wondering if I answered my own question!?

Thanks,
Mike

well you can bypass that clutch switch. look at it, there 2 switches i believe, one of which only activiates when the clutch is floored. i believe if you just cross the wires on that one then the car will start regardless of clutch position.

Be kinda tough... The solenoid on the SHO is on the starter. On the old 'Stang it was on the firewall...

Yes...on the old Stang is it on the firewall...
But what is on the SHO up on the firewall near the driveside shock tower??
I replaced that today (didn't make a difference!) but the battery cables bolt to it...I thought that is the solenoid/started relay!?

The starter relay on early SHOs is on the fenderwell.

You can use the remote starter switch to crank the engine at any time by connecting the starter switch to the small terminal on the relay, just like on the 'stang. Just make damned certain the transmission is out of gear. The clutch swich is not in the circuit at that point.

DOH! I forgot the early ones did that! Yeah give it a try, just make sure its out of gear or you'll be the the one going   ! If you want to start it you'll need to jump the clutch switch.
