Keep in mind that if you have a MTX, you have to leave the car out of gear when parked...otherwise the remote start is useless. I have always been afraid to put one on my car for that reason...I always leave the car in first when parked though...

I have a Autostarter on my MTX and I haven't had the chance to rig up a neutral switch so the system knows it is in neutral, but I have a couple ideas. I have to leave my car in neutral all the time. It is kinda dangerous having a car starter on an MTX car. I tested it with the car in gear and emergency brake on, and it will definately start the car and start chugging away. Could **** someone if accidently left in gear.

I just finished installing a remote start on my 93ATX. It isnt that hard to do, if you have some sort of mechanical/electrical knowledge you should have no problem doin it. The only problem I ran into was finding a gramet to run the hood-pin switch and the tach wire through. Besides that it was pretty simple. In my opinion it is a good investment Remote Starter Wiring Colors For 1992-94 Ford Taurus

(There is also an easier way to get the tach signal, on the DIS module on the pass. side of the upper-intake, use the gray-yellow/tan wire on the backside of the unit. You have to peel back the blackloom and soder the new tach wire to the factory tach wire off of the DIS module)
