relocation

Does this kit from Summit Racing have EVERYTHING I need to relocate the battery? http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=SUM-G1200A Will a standard battery work with this safely or do I need an optima? The box isn't sealed.

I would get a 250A fuse. You can use the standard battery but a smaller sealed battery is the way to go, more power and lighter weight to offset the 20+' of wire.

I use an Odyssey battery PC 925. You will also need some terminals to connect to the OEM terminals. You can take the band part of the OEM battery terminal off and use the spade terminal to bolt to another spade terminal on the new wire. I would also recommend running a 14 ga wire from ground in the trunk to the ground in the engine compartment.

I also use quick disconnect power connectors so the battery can be quickly removed. Be aware the NHRA rules require an external disconnect that will **** the motor with a battery in the trunk. Most won't bother you though seeing as it is just a Taurus.

Is it the 925T? The reg 925 has female terminals. What's the CCA and CA of it?

the 925 is 380CCA and 500CA
I have the 1200 which is550CCA and 725CA. I think it was $133 total including shipping
