Anyone know? Gonna buy some of the first sparkplugs my car has had and I wanna get it right. And should I get new wires as well, at one time my current set was submerged in oil for a while. There's still some oil in the plug wells though, not much, just a smidge, can barely see it beneath the plug, how could I get that out? I was thinking one of those compressed air cans for computers, just get it to splatter on the sides so I can wipe it up and it won't drip into the combustion chamber, sound alright? Thanks for the help!

Another thing as well, I was looking at Taylor wires, since Motorcraft isn't in the budget right now. I haven't heard bad things about them in particular, only the really offbrand things like Napa gives you. So, which should I get? The Taylor Spiro-pro 8mm or the Taylor ThunderVolt 8.2mm, thanks again!

.042-.046 is the Gap IIRC. Don't be scared to use delco or Acell wires either they work great as well and are far cheaper than the motorcraft ones.

For the oil, take the squirter part from a bottle (i.e soap despenser), and put the suction end of it down into the plug well, and pump away into a bottle or cup...

Spark plug gap-
N/a-.030 -- .040
F/I-.020 -- .030

FWIW, i run mine at .032. and my plugs are lawnmower plugs... :laugh_ti: (Champion 71 RC12YC) but they fit perfect, and run better than my NGK Vpower's did... BTW, they are a copper plug.

Well, it's not enough to be sucked up, plus I wouldn't be able to reach it, it's just a tiny bit underneath the plug. It's probably not even an ounce, but I think it'd be enough to foul up the o2 sensors or something. Kinda iffy about lawnmower plugs though :laugh_ti: I just checked though, they're on Rockauto, so I suppose they're a direct fit. And AC Delco seems to be a bit pricey, 96 bucks. I'll look into the Accels though. I just can't choose between Accel and Taylor. That .2mm gonna do anything for me?

According to this, if I don't take my intake off, I can't fit my wires correctly and ruin them? Uhh.. I should know better, but tell me this is kinda wrong.
