My Rear windows in my 96 will not go down. neither of them make any noise when I hit the down button.

Do you think it is electrical? or are they possibly "Stuck"?

anyone have this happen?

You have a couple of choices. You can remove the master switch (on the drivers door) and apply battery voltage to the wires for the up and down of each window. You apply the voltage to each power wire and the ground can be the body or the common ground wire. See the wiring diagrams provided by Bizzy.

The other choice is to apply battery voltage to the motor wires at the motor, that is at each of the doors. Again, use the body as the ground. You will have to remove the door panels.

If the windows work with direct battery voltage applied, then the switch is the problem. If the windows do not work, then you need to determine if the problem is in the wiring, (continuity testing), or the motors. rangerj
