Is there a difference between the PP and non PP wheel bearings? My right rear wheel bearing is noisy and needs to be replaced.

I'm looking on Rock Auto and I only see front wheel bearings that are compatible with the performance pack.

Are the front wheel bearings different from the back ones or are they pretty much the same? I plan on going with Timken.

Hmm, looks like only the front wheel bearings are different between the PP and non-pp, but I cannot say for sure. You could try plugging your VIN into parts.ford.com get the Motorcraft part number and then cross-reference from there.

I ended up using the SKF BR930742 Wheel + Hub assembly in case anyone else was confused.

There are two listed for my car by vin. I cannot tell you the difference of the top of my head. Sorry I'm to late.

This is as good as a place to put this i guess.

If your replacing a front or rear wheel bearing, cut off 2 lug studs and pound them out. Get two 1/2 inch bolts that are full thread (higher grade prefered) and use the bolt to press out the wheel bearing from two spots on the kuckle like below.

The nut will press the hub out as it is tightened. Use some lubricant on the threads.

Try to remove the wheel speed sensor. Un bolt it, the use a pocke screwdriver in the bolt hole as a lever to twist the sensor just a little while pulling up on it gently.

The axle nut is 32 mm, torqued to 258 lb-ft.
The hub bolts are torqued to 98 lb-ft
Caliper bolts 24 lb-ft
Caliper Anchor bolts76 lb-ft

lol, I had to do 3 bolts, and after breaking off 3-4 half inch bolts, I resorted to using an impact on the bolts and it finally came off.050518200210505182002

Glad to see it worked for you. I hope you feel it was *esier* than trying to chisel it out, or pound it out from the back side.

Yeah, the wheel bearings are a pain in the ***, especially if you live in one of the northern states that uses salt on their roads. I ended up taking my car to my mechanic and they had to use a hub buster and 30 minutes of heat using an Oxy torch.

Old thread, but checking on if you can still get hub assemblies on the cheap?
Best
No. My division of SKF aerospace in Hanover Pa was for sale as SKF wanted to exit the our type of aerospace business and was recently purchased by Polymer Concepts Technologies, PCTI
