Rear SFB's?

I've heard talk of rear subframe bushings.... I've never even seen where these would go..... do they even exist?

If so where could I buy a set of just the rear ones as I already have them on the front........

My Rear suspension is getting an overhaul..... Im going to be installing a H-Brace, Adjustable tubular arms with spherical bearings, and rear Poly. strut rod bushings. I already have a good sized rear swaybar with poly. HD endlinks. I also have a rear strut tower bar and I'm going to weld on a piece of metal to make my own rear knuckle braces. Besides springs and struts the only other mod I can think of is these so called rear bushings..... more info would be appreciated!

Rear sub frame busings go on the back section of the sub frame (engine cradle) There are 4 of them 2 front and 2 rear.

Not Sure I'd Do That...

I'm going to weld on a piece of metal to make my own rear knuckle braces.

You're going to weld on the rear knuckles? I'm not sure I'd do that unless I knew a lot about welding or I got advice from someone that did. It's possible you could weaken the knuckle or create a stress riser by doing that.

If I were you, I would check with SDPATT or someone else on the board that has a mechanical engineering background.

Welding will reduce the strength of the metal around the welded area. Our company works with aluminum, and for calculations, we are req'd to use only 40% of the strength of the aluminum within one inch of the weld.

hmmmm, they have made a bracket that connects two lobes on the bottom of the rear knuckle to strengthen it, as people have broken them before with upgraded Rear arms........

It would probably be ARC welded..... Id like to get some more information on this, maybe I won't do it. I was just thinking of making my own bracket instead of buying the one for SHO's if its still even availbile

also, might want to suggest TPR endlinks/ bushings over the poly ones; I had the poly's on for a while and they squeek; not as durable either....

I have had the poly endlinks for a couple months now and don't have any squeeking issues........

so the TPR rears are stronger then the poly?
