In a 12 year old car there is no USUAL. Remove the rear door panel and access the motor for the window. You can apply battery voltage to the motor connections and see if the motor works. You can connect a volt meter to the wires and see if you get battery voltage when the switch is pushed. Check both the master switch and the individual door switch.

If the motors work with direct battery voltage, then most likely it is a switch.
Note: check the motor in both the up and down mode. rangerj

More than likely the motor is bad.My 93 does the same thing,I get it to move by banging the lower part of the door while working the switch.I'm sure that wont work for too long because the motor is rusting from water getting in past the seal on window.

The motor is not always bad. More often than not it is the electrical contacts, and sometimes it is both the contacts at the switch and the motor. I recall having the same problem, and I had to mess with both sets of connectors just to get my passenger rear window back UP. Still, it could be the motor if everything rangerj said to try does not work.

Try taking off the door panel and banging the motor with a hammer while you push up and down on the switch. It should start moving. It worked on mine.
