Today as my g/f was telling me about this show she was watching on Speedvision with customized cars, an idea popped into my head. Would it be possible to take the back seat out, cover up the hole the seat back would leave into the trunk, and then put buckets back there that were the same as the front seats? Obviously, I'd lose space for one passenger, but that I don't really care about. Mostly, I'd be concerned with how everything would look for one, if it would be possible to continue to use the power lumbar/bolster, and if there would be an easy way to bolt the seats in. So basically, it would be set up like a mini-van with quad buckets or a Navigator or something along those lines, cause I would also throw in a console too. Any ideas?

Take a look on ebay for a previos gen grand prix or cutlas supreme they both had a similar back seat to what you are talking about. Also the size is about right for the SHO too. try 90-96 as years. Cutlass Supreme Convert would be good too.

Keep in mind that when you take out your back seat, it is not level with the floor after like the front. The "pad" for the bottom of the back seat rests higher. The back of the car , floor wise, rises up and the seat is mounted on this rise. To see what I mean, push in on the front edge of the seat itself and puah up as you go in. This will release the clips that hold the seat in place and you can take it off to see underneath.

there is no way that will work with stock sho seats the are going to be way too tall(unless you put a sunroof in the back for peoples heads)i got racing seats in the front of mine and im in the process of putting them in back also . I have to get ambition to drop the gas tank to get mounting bolts up through. i checked the hight on them and they were just about right thanks to a really flat bracket that comes with them
