Went to the track last night. I have a bonestock 11 SHO non PP, but with the 20" rims. I'm stuck with the 2.xx gearing. I wanted to see if/how much the car would pick up with the CAI.

First pass was stock. 93 octane 1/2 tank. Temp according to NAV was 92 degrees. Only cooldown was to fill out tech card, not that it mattered as it was hot and humid. Time was 7:49.

60ft 2.133
1/8 9.145 @ 77.44
1/4 14.114 @ 102.22

Next pass I swapped the Airade on to the car. Pretty straight forward swap requiring only a 1/4" metric socket set. Took approximately 20-30 minutes. Temp according to NAV had plummeted to 89 degrees and time was 8:23.

60ft 2.124
1/8 9.132 @77.42
1/4 14.102 @ 102.27

3rd pass, 87 degrees, time 9:20.

60ft 2.115
1/8 9.085 @ 77.55
1/4 14.057 @ 96.73....I think the trap speed was wrong as the car didn't feel and slower on the hill, but when I saw the trap I went right back up to the lanes to make another pass.

4th and last pass. 87 degrees, time 9:26.

60ft 2.135
1/8 9.100 @ 77.77
1/4 14.053 @ 102.55

So, I picked up .05ths, and .3 mph. Not knocking the product as it is not coming off, and looks good. But if you're looking to pick up big power, well...... I should be getting a tune from Rick @ Livernois very soon. The one thing I do like about this car is that it doesn't lose anything "circle tracking" it. I've had an 04 Cobra, and my other 2 current FI Fords and they all lose a couple of tenths if not cooled down between passes. Not sure if the innercooler is more efficient or the reliance of IAT2s on the other cars for timing.

I popped in a K&N OEM replacement filter. Since the stock box is a CAI of sorts the cost seems better for me...$60.00. A little bit better off the line, but that could also be psychological too..;)

Intakes don't do much for power on turbocharged cars. The only thing they are good for is looks and a little noise.
