I am new to SHOs so I really do not know what are fair prices for after market parts. Yamaha V6  I have no intention of looking for parts from a junkyard-coming on this forum asking prices and then turning around and selling them on this forum-after running back to the junkyard to retreve and pay for them. You were wrong to close my post. My post did not mention anything about selling anything. You have no right to close a tread simply because YOU THINK someone is going to do something at a later time.
Also, this would now qualify as a For-Sale classified ad, since you're mentioning the parts you'd potentially be picking up to sell to someone else, so it's getting closed.

You act as if you dont want anyone to know about after market parts. Fact is, I really dont know if you know what you were thinking. again, this was my post:
I went junkyarding again today. The blue Gen. 2 ATX is gone but the 1st gen SHO is still there. I got a few things for my SHO. A coin and cup holder; a radator cover, two strut tower covers; a throttle body cover and a near new ashtray Cost: $10.00 for all. I know alot of you are looking for 1st. Gen parts so I asked about the Intake cover and transmition. For the intake cover he wants $100.00 without the throttle body. With the throttle body it will be $200.00. For the 5 speed MTX trans he wants $500.00 do these prices reflect real after market costs or am I being lied to?

David,
Here's a bit of friendly advice - don't ever re-post a thread after a moderator has closed it. Please read / re-read the SHOForum Terms of Service.

I would also suggest a PM to myself, another mod, or the Forum Administrator if you wish to air concerns or grievances in the future. Calling out in public will get the same back, and accomplishes nothing.

Not to sound like a d!ck, but yeah, I DO have the right (in fact, the responsibility) to address these issues as they come up. The part that led me to believe you were / would be trolling for contacts from people on here for potential parts for you to sell to them was:

I know alot of you are looking for 1st. Gen parts so I asked about the Intake cover and transmition.

The way you have this worded indicates you're doing this for someone else, and not for yourself, again, leading people to believe these parts are / will be available for sale, and they should therefore contact you for your next trip to the boneyard.

Absolutely, I want people (including myself) to know about "aftermarket" parts; these aren't aftermarket FWIW, they're used, but I know what you mean. You still need to post a classified ad through the proper procedure when trying to sell items here. These aren't MY rules, they're the FORUM rules, which the moderators are asked to uphold.

I'm locking this thread, so it doesn't go any further. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. If you would like to continue the discussion with the Forum Admin, you have my complete support in pursuing that direction.
