sounds like it is coming from the timing belt . maybe even the front bank belt gear .also it looks like the balancer has a wobble and is making noise. ran fine before i broke the tranny. once i fix the tranny i will need to address the engine problem. the belt tensioner has been replaced ( @122k) car now has 177k

Do you work on your own car or not? If not, I suggest you take it to Tony at North Texas Performance[Arlington/Grand Prarie] and get it fixed by the SHO mechanic himself. If you can get the car down there, he'll put it on the lift and give it a bumper-to-bumper inspection and let you know what problems you have and see which ones you want to take care of.

i normally do my own work, but time has been in short supply. arlington would be a long drive for me to find out it will cost too much to fix  . have to find someone locally or do it myself

a little more info. it either doesn't make the sound at higher rpms or i can't hear it and the noise from the belt gear is not real consistant. it does get louder when the a/c is on or the steering wheel is turned. not sure if it is related to the front end vibration or it is a separate deal.

more i look at it i think it might be a total loss. the tranny would be an easy fix, but the wobble in the balancer doesn't look good and the sound it makes is bad. i also have oil leaking onto the exhaust from somewhere. i am adding it up and would probably cost more to repair than i bought it for.
