Last Post i promise...

Again wife related - (need to park the car in the barn)

She left the sunroof open and it must have rained gallons into the car over night. Now i am not sure (but pretty sure this is rain related) what is going on. Need to know wire colors to trouble shoot...

The car thinks a door is open so the warning light is on and more importantly the interior lights stay on (making it hard to see to drive). This doesn't happen all the time, more on then off. I believe it is the driver side door because all of the door locks lock except this door when you start driving. The wiring harness (what you can see) does not appear to be damaged in any way (between the door and the firewall). I will pull the fuse if someone can tell me the location. The lights over the mirror is the annoying one. Can manually turn off the main dome lights.

The other issue, since the SHO flood, is the rear driver passenger window will not open. I guess i should have checked the rear door window switch to see if it works, but from the driver side door it doesn't open (and i believe someone tried from the back seat).

I am starting to rethink the old saying... "You cant live with them and you can't live without them"!

Again thanks for any suggestions and time...
Todd

(from another post you probably realize the car was in an accident but i really think this is rain related)

Dome light issue is pretty common and is usually the door switch as said. WD 40 is your friend.

The window motor is probably the connection in the door to the motor. Just disconnect and reconnect is all I ever had to do.

Did not realize that the WD40 fix was for my dome light issue also. Thought that was for the actual door locks (ie Key problems). Dome light issue has been resolved! Will try and work on the rear window issue when it STOPS raining up here...

I did not see a door jamb switch or lock, but figured if i sprayed the key hole, the "plastic bar" in the front of the door, and the door latch i had to cover all the areas where the problem could have been. Success! I hit all the doors while i was at it.

RAYJAY i used to drive thru there all the time on my way to 81N. Like going that way, instead of driving down to Scranton first. Nice back road! We live off of 191 by the Western Wayne High School. The only SHO I've seen out here is a white one occasionally. We will have to meet up some time!

WD-40 is designed to be a water displacer (hence the WD) and is an excellent first try for most anything associated with electrical or mechanical water failures of low order.
