Does anyone know a company to link those contols located next to the steering wheel to an aftermarket stereo. or any good way to make use of that space without it look'n cheesy

I believe you can get an OEM adapter so it would work with Sony decks, although I wouldn't buy Sony.

where would i find one for a JVC

Its only made for Sonys with the wired, joystick remote. For the JVC or something else, you'd have to wire it yourself, which involves disasembling your head unit and soldering in it, voiding your warrenty. You could go to a stereo shop and see if they'd be willing to do it for you.
