Radiator Question

Are the 1st Gen SLO and Gen1 SHO radiators the same? I know most Gen1 SLO's were Automatic and had tranny cooler lines incorporated(sp), but other than that are they the same? TIA

I've been told in the past that they are not the same. I don't know specifics, sorry.

i know that gen 2 ATX SHOs and MTXs use the same radiator you just plug the tranny lines.

The replacement radiators for both my 92 MTX and 87 3.0 Slo wagon are similar, the hoses are in the same location, but the mounting is different.

I'm just gonna do some research and see. Gotta get something cheap till the springtime and don't have the cash to get a brand new radiator yet.

On Ebay some guys sell radiators that supposedly are a perfect fit for 86-90 something Sables/tauruse 3.0, 3.8 and SHO. Sounds kinda weird but who knows.

SLO and SHO radiators are NOT interchangeable. The replacements are for ATX and MTX SHOs, but the mounting is very different for SLOs. RAdiator.com had one delivered 4 hours! after I ordered it, for $145, or something like that.
