Hi all. have a couple of questions for the sho mechanics out there.

1. If I can manage to get the intake off, now much harder is it to remove the heads? Im not mechanical at all, but I could have my fiancees father help, hes pretty good.

2. On my 94 when i attempted the 60K service i had the engine down to the cams, this was not too bad in my opinion. Say this is a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10, where would you rank removing the v8s intake at?

3. I dont plan on reinstalling and timing it, I head chris from nesho mention that timing the engine in the car can be difficult for them. But i want to get all the parts myself, trying to finish school, and have to do this as ecomonically as possible. What other parts do I need to get? head gaskets, i assume, intake gaskets? Head bolts?

4. the **** I bought my car from changed the oil in my car maybe twice in the life of the car. PM or email me if you want to see some pictures that will turn your frigging stomach. as long as i am doing this, I want to drop the oil pan and clean out the bottom of the engine, and whatever is down there. What other parts will I need for this?

5. Being as i know the engine had no care for it at all should I just junk this engine and look for a relacement?

I appreciate everybodys time and though, Ill try not to bug you guys anymore Until I get it fixed.

Why oh why, god, do I love these stupid Cars. Why couldn't I love a Camry or an Accord.

to remove the heads u have to remove the front engine cover first, but it is almost impossible to do this with out removing engine from the car through the bottom and it can be done in a driveway i have done it. and you will have to retime the engine if removing the heads. i just completed mine from a cam failure in feb. so a lot of stuff is fresh in my mind. and DO NOT ROTATE THE CRANK WITH THE TIMING CHAINS OFF! it can cause engine damage. it is not as bad as it sounds but time consuming. the head gaskets are 200 each but a complete upper engine gaskets, around 700.00 has about all the gaskets. i ended up spending about 1200 on mine maybe 1500 on fixing it myself. if you have any question you can pm me.
