Quill sleeve removal

What's the best way to remove the quill sleev??? I can't seem to find any good info on it...

I think there was different versions of it , best is to replace just to be sure.

I removed mine with a "hub hammer" by placing the tool on the side of the sleeve where there is a tiny lip where you can have a grip , I got lucky and it went right out. If not , dremel or a air die-grinder with a cutting wheel.

The old one is probably not worn. If the new release bearing fits with a smooth sliding fit (no slop), it's probably fine to reuse it.

If you must replace it, try using a torch to get it glowing orange. This breaked up anything that kept mine in place and made the removal quick.

Got it out with a combo of dremel, cold chisel, screw driver, and some wire cutters. While I probably could have kept the original on there I felt more comfortable using everything that was included in the new cleutch kit.
