As title above states... Have anyone tried cut some coils off Monroes quickstrut and how was the ride?

I have settled on taking everything apart and reassembling with Eibach's, 1 coil cut, and then try to get the car balanced front to back while still clearing a 17" cobra replica, so to summerize, one coil cut on all four corners. Good luck with your's.
What is your current setup, it looks low? I'm trying to remember if the Quickstruts Spring is a linear or progressive, I think progressive, and I think that's why you might not want to cut them. But don't hold me to that.
Just spoke to Monroe and they confirm they use progressive springs. However they still have a dead coil on top that presumably could be cut without an adverse effect.
iirc, the quickstrut springs are similar to the stock springs in that if you cut them you will have them not fit on the perch correctly.

I really want to see your progress on this b/4 I tear into mine. I can either cut the brand new Eibach's I got from them under warranty or cut the TRW/Monroe part. The seat to spring perch issue with a cut top coil IIRC settled in and didn't cause any long term problem... not sure of this however...![]()

Message silver93sho (Dan) he cut his front springs and may have some info.
