Is it a good idea to add a moly supplement to the oil? Someone was telling me that it helps reduce startup friction and wear. Also, what about additives such as Prolong?

Based on what I've heard others say, additives and SHO are a bad combo. I could be wrong...wait for a more reliable source to answer.

SHO needs help(maint.) not additives that will tire out the discontinued oil pump.

Don't use additives! Let your oil do what it was designed to do by itself.
I was amazed at how much oil was still on the cams/heads of my SHO's when I took the valve covers off - and this was using Castrol GTX 10w-30..not exactly an exotic oil.
