here were the results.
KOEO
111 - Systems pass.
176 - HEGO sensor indicates system lean (LH).
212 - IDM circuit failure / SPOUT circuit grounded.
215 - Coil 1 primary circuit failure.
216 - Coil 2 primary circuit failure.
217 - Coil 3 primary circuit failure.
543 - Fuel pump secondary circuit failure.
KOER
538 - Operator error (dynamic response / cylinder balance tests).
521 - PSPS circuit did not change states.
I understand most of them, except the 212. The other one that has me wondering are the 215-217 ones, could those have been thrown if the DIS wiring harness connection is loose? I was driving along today, and the car turned off. The tach fell to zero, and the engine just quit. The first thing I thought was either a CPS or CID, but the codes don't indicate either. With the DIS connection unplugged, would it throw those codes? I know the harness is clipped on tight, I checked it after I pulled the codes.
One side note, a few weeks back I replaced the thermostat, ECT and temp sending unit, and I had a slight leak from the upper rad hose where it attaches to the t-stat tube. Could coolant have shorted out the wiring underneath leading to the coil pack?
The other question is about the 543 code. What is the secondary circuit? Does that control the fuel return line? When I start my car, I have to leave the key in the on position for a few seconds before I start it, or else it will take forever to start up, and I think this is due to the fuel draining from the lines back into the tank.
Any help?
