Could i run my remote for my amp (amp turn on) from the power wire from the stock amp? Not the power wire.. but the 12v remote wire.
I know what wire it is on the stock amp, so thats not a problem.

It takes maybe half an hour to run a 18g wire to the trunk. I wouldn't mess with what your talking about, in the case it dosent work(which im sure it won't) then your amp starts cooking. Then you have a blowen amp, possibly fried subs, and maybe even a cooked head deck all this because you didn't wanna run a simple wire. Remember an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. But if you wanna risk your system give it a try. Who knows it may even work but I wouldn't risk it.

Yea i know... but its one less wire that i have to run...

Im just curious if the 12v that goes to the stock amp is the remote for that amp.... if it is, then there should not be any problems.

yea, u can just take the pin out and splice into that wire. or even easier you can just use the whole stock harness (rcas n all) if you get an aftermarket amp interface harness. scosche or metra makes them. you just plug one end into your amp, and the other into your stock plug. you should have no problems splicing tho as the ford wire is standard guage and amperage.
