question about this code (p0411)

i know what its all about i been reading about this..

i have a question that i havnt gotten answered

would an exhuast leak cause this code.. i really thing its leaking at the front manifold.. if not at the head were the pipe connects..

thanks for any info on this..

also since i reset the pcm.. been 2 days i only got this code and this code p0443 guess i could still get more.. (i know what the 443 is but still cant figure it out yet)

I suppose it could if the leak was bad enough the air being pumped into the manifold never reaches the O2.

Highly unlikely though.

thanks for the reply i didnt think so but i didnt see anything talked about it in the past..

with my cars issues right now think its just a relay or bad pump.. i was reading its is kind of related to the egr.. well i did have the code p0402..

my car runs really ruff at idle and has a miss feeling at cruise.. only codes so far p0443 and this new one p0411..
p0443 is gonna be there till the car is dead lol...
any help?

The SAI has nothing to do with the EGR other than they are both connected to the exhaust manifolds.

oh i must have read somthing wrong or somone didnt know there info were i was reading...

also wanted to add to keep this in mind.. the car did sit for a good 3 years omost 4years didnt run.. blown motor pretty much from cam failure...

The SAI is hard to diagnose. Try getting under the car and on a cold engine grab the pump or put your hand over the short 1" hose that is the pump intake and see if it runs when the car is first started.

whats considered a cold start.. first start of the day? or when the temp gauge is 1/4 below?
man tell me what aint ******* this car to diagnose, lol

well i rescaned the car on my way home from work and all is good now.. no code. guess ill keep an eye out for it again thanks.. sho123

wanted to add that i know the pump was on when i started it up because i could hear it and i put my hand on it and i felt it run till i shut off...

now once i knew it was off i noticed thats when the car started to run ruff? any idea with that?

still only one code that same evap 443:nut:
