My SHO is acting as far as when I try to pick up speed, it feels like something is holding it back. You can feel it let go and hold back like it's straining to pick up speed. And sometimes you can feel it while in 5th driving every so often. Someone please help me. jpshakeh

Check to make sure that none of your brake calipers is hanging up, or draging. Especially the right rear. :)

How are your catalytic converters? Mine was starting to feel like that. Now I'm in the process of removing them from the y-pipe because of all the trouble they caused this week from pluggin up on me. I've been noticing this "holding back" feeling for a month now, and it finally took over my engine's preformance.

But also, check your brakes like already mentioned.

You will need to provide a little more information for us to have a clue as to the cause of your apparent power loss. Is the engine stumbling or misfiring or is it just bogging?

Well what I mentioned earlier is about the best I can do. I wouldn't say it's the brakes hagging or anything it comes and go. It's more in the engine maybe one of the spark plug wires, I haven't had a chance to look yet. But if it's the cats stopped up, how would you unplug them and or what else would tell me to look at the cats?

Hit your cats w/rubber mallot...if they sound hollow, your good, but if not...more than likely clogged. Do a search on how to clean out your cats for more info...I've heard drilling them out can be an option. Also, check for oil in your plug wells. Check your MAF and air filter to make sure they are both clean. If you can...also check you air mixture valve. Good luck!
