I have a few sets of tensioners. One of the tensioners in the set with the least amount of wear has a broken part. If you flip the pad portion over one of the two plastic parts that resemble rivets has broken off. The plastic is still through the hole in the metal part but it doesn't spread out on the bottom if that makes sense. I am just wondering upon the integrity of this tensioner. I figure it might be ok since it will be pushed down upon for the remainder of its life, but I am curious of the opinions of you guys.

I have a pic but don't know how to host it, if I could email it to someone to host that would be great.

Thanx, Doug

Not really, it is stable and solid. But, if I use my finger I can pry up on that side ever so slightly. But, I have avoided doing that so that I do not stress the other side very much. It will not move side to side or front to back at all, it will only move up just a bit.

I would clean it VERY well and dab some 2 part epoxy between the pad and the plate. I would also put it around the post where the missing melted pad was.
