I have been doing some research on the forum, and have read some very good things about the quaife LSD. Since I have the engine outd of my SHO, I have easy access to my MTX, and I am considering installing the quaife. However, I could probably come up with the purchase price of the unit, but I can not afford the installation.

Is it very difficult to install for someone who has never opened a transmission, but has good mechanical skills?

Will I need any special, expensive tools?

Have any of you guys done this installtion yourselves?

You my friend are in luck. There just so happens to be a "how to" video for installing a quaife differential. Check out SHO NUT Performance.

I can only find a clutch installation video at the ShoNut Performance site, not the quaife lsd installation video.

Josh sells 3 videos - 60k, clutch install, and quaife instal. If you don't see it directly send him an email. He and Mark N. put these together and I saw Mark post not long ago that it was done and for sale.

Not that hard, the hardest part is drilling out the old rivits. If you can afford it, by all means, it worth it. Don't let the install stop you. Get the video and GFI.
